Pure Salon Salon Nyc is one of the few nail salon brands that has remained open for more than a decade, and it has seen a big uptick in sales over the last few years.
Founder and owner Krista Ehrhardt says the growth has been due to a combination of factors, including new customers coming to the brand and customers returning to the salon for a few days after a vacation.
The growth is also partly due to the popularity of the brand, which Ehrhard says has seen an influx of new customers.
“We had some people come in, who we had not seen in a while,” she says.
“I think people are just craving it, and we’re really excited to see how that all plays out.”
The brand is expanding quickly in the Northeast and will open its first location in New York City this summer.
Ehrhart says the company’s growth will depend on how quickly the brand can catch up with its competitors in New England.
“We have a great competitor, Pure Salon, which has had a huge growth in New Hampshire,” she said.
“But the growth is not as huge as we think it is, and so we’re trying to stay ahead of the curve.”
Ehrhardt, who says she is “not a huge fan of the word salon” in general, says the brand has a number of things going for it.
First, the brand is not a “nail salon” like most of the competition, which can create some negative connotations, Ehratta says.
The beauty industry has seen several nail salons fall apart over the past few years, and Ehrthardt believes that Pure Salon’s popularity has given the brand a leg up.
Second, the product line has been growing steadily.
“The products we have are always growing,” she explains.
And third, the salon is not afraid to tackle new products that come out, something she believes other nail salon brands have not always been willing to do.
Etherstone is a company that has made a name for itself in the beauty industry for years, but has struggled to maintain a strong presence in the industry.
In 2017, the company launched its first ever beauty line, which was based on the brand’s famous Pure Salon formula.
Despite the challenges, Eichhardt says that the brand continues to grow.
“[We’re] growing, but we’re growing slowly,” she states.
“So we’re not quite there yet.”
With the growth of Pure Salon in New Jersey, Ehlhardt says she expects the brand to continue to grow and is excited about the future.
