Salon Innovisions, an innovative design and development company, is moving into an existing building on Gerrard Street.
The company has received permission from city officials to begin building a new office.
The site is at 714 Gerrard St. near the intersection of Gerrard and York streets.
The new building will house a salon, an art space, a digital office and retail space.
It will be a four-storey structure.
In a statement to the Star, Salon Innovatives said it is excited to bring its vision to Toronto.

This will allow us to work in close collaboration with the Downtown relief fund to bring innovative design, technology and creative products to the city.

Salon Innovates is a Toronto-based company that creates innovative designs and software that have helped some of the world’s most innovative companies and businesses achieve success.
In 2016, it won the prestigious Gold Medal at the World Design Awards, the same accolade bestowed on the winners of the 2017 World Design Festival in New York.
It also won the 2016 Design Excellence Award for Innovation in Design from the Design Museum of Toronto.
In addition to being a Design Museum member, Salon has also received a Design Innovation Award from the Canadian Society of Civil Engineers and an Excellence in Design Award from Ontario’s Design Review Board.
Salon Innovacies said it will be in charge of running the new space, which will be the company’s second office in Toronto in the past five years.
It’s unclear when Salon Innovisons plans to open its new Toronto office, but the company said in its statement that it will “explore new and innovative ways to expand our footprint in Toronto.”
