Salon owners across Australia are bracing for a flood of new arrivals as new arrivals of beauty salons open across the country.
New arrivals will be coming to their favourite salon from across the world, including the United States and Japan.
“Our client base is a mix of the Western and Asian population, with many coming to Australia for the first time,” the owner of the closest salon in the city of Newcastle said.
With the number of salon owners expected to triple, the number and size of salon spaces will increase.

The growth is also driven by an increase in Asian arrivals from the United Kingdom, the report said.
“We have seen a lot of growth from China and the UK, with a lot more Chinese people coming here and we’re seeing an increase from Japan and South Korea,” the owners of a Sydney salon said.
The number of Australian residents visiting Japan and the United Korea has also increased, with one of the main reasons for this is a new visa law introduced to the country last year.
Under the new law, residents of the Japanese island nation can apply for residency in Australia without needing a visa and can live and work in Australia for up to three years.
This means the Japanese community has welcomed the visa reforms, with Japanese nationals now living and working in Australia.
The New York Times reported last year that the number on visas granted to Japanese citizens has risen from more than 1,500 to more than 2,600 in a decade.
“The fact that so many new arrivals are coming from Japan shows that the country has embraced this new visa system, and I think that’s good for the industry as a whole,” the proprietor of the largest Japanese salon in Newcastle said, according to the newspaper.
“As a result of that, we are seeing more people come here to apply for a visa, and also more of our clients are coming here for the sake of their children,” the salon owner added.
